Wanaka is a lake town in New Zealand's Southern Alps, where the water holds the mountains still and the light does all the talking. A single willow stands in the lake, and the air smells like gardens and cold, clean water. Wanaka Artisanal Incense is that stillness, filled with roses. The Olfactory Signature Fresh Cut Rose and Rose Petals, Rosa spp. (The Heart): The undisputed star of the Wanaka blend. Fresh cut rose leads, bright and clean, with real rose petals behind it, filling the room with a lush, romantic bloom. Light it and let the room fill with roses. Orange Blossom (The Light): The lift. Orange blossom is the bright top note that keeps the rose from going heavy, a clean citrus floral that smells like sun on the water. Palo Santo, Bursera graveolens (The Wood): Palo santo means holy wood. Used for centuries in South American cleansing rituals, it brings a gentle, sweet woodiness that cuts through the florals and grounds the blend. Mystical Copal Resin (The Foundation): The anchor. A warm, honeyed earthiness that holds the rose and orange blossom up and lets them shine. The Experience Each stick is dipped by hand in small batches and made to burn slow and even, over 60 minutes. Light it and the room fills the way a Wanaka morning does: roses first, bright and clean, then the sweet wood and warm resin settling in underneath.
