Elevate Your Ritual: Kadisha Artisanal Incense Kadisha is named for the Kadisha Valley in Lebanon, a deep gorge in the mountains of the north, carved by the Kadisha River. In Aramaic, Kadisha means holy, and the valley has been called the Holy Valley for centuries. It sheltered monastic communities who built monasteries into its cliffs and caves, seeking refuge and prayer in a place set apart from the world. Above the valley stands the Forest of the Cedars of God, where cedars have stood for thousands of years. In 1998, UNESCO named the valley and the cedar forest together a World Heritage Site. Kadisha the incense follows the valley itself. Light it and make a small holy place of your own, wherever you are. The Olfactory Signature Driftwood and Juniper (The Ascent): The lead. Weathered wood and crisp evergreen, fresh alpine air carrying the bite of juniper along mountain ridges. Mayan Copal, Protium copal, and Red Sandalwood, Pterocarpus santalinus (The Ground): The resins of temple smoke. Mayan copal brings a warm, golden resin depth, and red sandalwood grounds it with a deep, velvety wood that settles the spirit. Tobacco and Olibanum (The Drydown): The settle. The scent rests into faint ribbons of rich tobacco and incense resin, the way smoke rests in stone chapels, quiet and steady long after the flame. The Experience Each stick is dipped by hand in small batches and made to burn slow and even, over 60 minutes. Light it and the room fills the way the valley does: crisp air first, then resin smoke settling in, steady and still. Perfect For: Deep meditation, breathwork, or grounding prayer practices. The Ritual: Light the tip of the incense stick, allow the flame to catch for a few seconds, and gently blow it out.
